Medium Term Accommodation (MTA)

What is MTA?
MTA is a temporary housing support funded by the NDIS, typically available for up to 90 days. It’s ideal for individuals who:
- Have secured a permanent home but can’t move in yet
- Require support services that are not ready in the new home
- Can’t stay in their current residence due to safety or suitability concerns
Eligibility Criteria for MTA
Live independently while receiving the support you need, when you need it.
To qualify for NDIS-funded MTA, participants must meet all three of these conditions:
A permanent home has been secured for future move-in
Necessary support services for the new home are not yet ready
Current accommodation is unsuitable for continued stay
We encourage participants to speak with their NDIS planner or support coordinator to assess eligibility and request MTA funding.
